Forestry projects
In Angola, the forestry area is 58,480,000km2, the forest coverage rate is 47%, the total forest stock volume is 2,266,000,000 m3 of which the stock volume of commercial varieties of trees represent 12%. Angola is the second forestry resources country of Africa.
The timber output of
Angola is very low, so there is a shortage of 438,000m3 for the
consumer demand. However, the timber exportation volume of Angola is more than
its timber importation volume. Between 2012 and 2013, of the annual timber
output of 62,000m3, approximately 26,000m3 timber was
exported to France, China, Italy, Spain, Germany, Poland, etc. Meanwhile, the
timer importation volume of Angola was only 7,000m3.
However, there is a big
potential in the wood industry of Angola. Angola may produce 326,000m3 of
natural forest timber and 850,000m3 of artificial forest timber.
This output will increase the national economy of Angola by USD 150,000,000
which represents 0.1%-4% of GDP and 25% of the income of the agricultural
sector.
In 2017, for the forestry project invested by our company, the first batch of 100t small spotted wood was transported from Menongue to Lobito. By the end of 2017, our company exported totally 72t timber to China. In the future, on the basis of disafforesting, the timber purchasing business will be included in the company and a wood processing factory will be founded so as to form a industrial chain to offer one package service including disafforesting, processing, purchasing and exporting.
