Fishery Project
Angola is next to the Atlantic in the west with a coast line of 1650km. The water temperature is suitable for the growth of fishes, so its fishery resources are very rich. There are about 50000 people working in fishery. They can work the whole year, normally from August or September of each year to June of next year and keeping stable high output. There is no fishing off season in Angola at present. Even in the low season of July and August, the output is very considerable. Consequently the fishery becomes one of the pillar industries of the country and its fish output is placed among the best ones of Africa.
Meanwhile, the fishery is an important industry greatly developed by Angolan government. For both offshore and ocean operations, the fishing technology of Angola is still under development, so the government encourages foreign enterprises to enter into the market and gives support in the investment environment and taxation.
In 2017, the project of repair, building and selling of fishing boats, catching and processing of fishes invested by our company formally started in Lobito of Angola. In April of 2017, the first team of boat building and sailing reached Lobito. Half a year later, the first fishing boat with 26m-long purse seine designed and constructed by our company was completed and passed the the inspection of Angola. It was named the “Sea Hawk” and succeeded in its first sailing on 1 February, 2018. The “Sea Hawk” is 26m long with a dead load of 100t, a carrying capacity of 45t and a power of 330kW.
The successful setting
sail of the “Sea Hawk” symbolized the formal start of fishing and processing
project in the fishery industry.
Now, the completed fishing boat is put into selling in full-amount or by installments with cooperation of financial institution. The professional boat building team can also supply long-term technical service in repair and maintenance of the fishing boats of customers and can offer free training on utilization of fishing boat and fishing technology to customers.
On 18 March, 2019, SEAHAWK--PESCAS
held by Yewhing Group received the visit of Maria Antonieta Baptista, the new
Fishery and Ocean Minister of Angola.
Minister Maria Antonieta Baptista embarked the fishing boat to inspect the equipment on site and understand their functions. She showed her satisfaction in the performance of the fishing boat.
