Yewhing Group President Mr. Song Chen attend the 1st China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo

Mr. Song Chen the president of Yewhing Group and Qingdao China-Africa Business Council attended the opening ceremony of the 1^st China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo also the forum as invited on 27 Jun. 2019.

The forum was hold at Changsha, Hunan Province for 3 days with 53 African countries, UN Industrial Development Organization, World Food Programme, WTO, African Union and other international organizations, financial institutions etc. The total number of attendee is about 3500 include the international exhibitors, purchasers and professional audience.

The theme for this expo is “Win-Win Cooperation, Promote the China-Africa Economic and Trade Relations pragmatically” that focus on trade, agriculture, investment & Financing, industrial park, infrastructure etc., and held 4 symposiums, 3 economic & trade meetings, 3 professional forums, 3 supporting activities, 1 exhibition, to explore the new paths and measures of China-Africa economic cooperation in multi points of view and deep level.

During the expo, Mr. Song Chen visited Mr. Yunfeng Huang the president of Lucky Man Group Angola, discussed the Angola market developing and agricultural investment issues.

Mr. Song Chen also met with Mr. Manuel Arnaldo de Sousa Calado the president of Angola-China Business Council and had a sincere talk when in the expo.

In the morning of Jun. 28, Mr. Song Chen attended the “African Country Investment Cooperation Promotion Meeting” which is one of the official subjects with 500 people that include ministry of commerce, provincial officers of Hunan, ministerial officials of China/Africa countries, international organization officials(UNIDO, African Union, World Bank), Africa countries investment promotion department officials, China/Africa financial organization representatives, China-African Business Council representatives, China/Africa friend province/state representatives, China/Africa business representatives who attended this meeting.

During the promotion meeting, Mr. Song Chen communicated with Angola Minister of Trade, Private Investment Officer Mr. Joffre Van-Dúnem Júnior and Angola companies. Mr. Chen introduced Yewhing Group and China-African Business Council to the above officers. As the excellent entrepreneur in Angola, Mr. Chen has built long term business reputation and focus on China-Angola economic and trade, deep exploring Angola market; in recent years as the vice president of China-African Business Council and president of Qingdao China-African Business Council, the mind of China-Africa cooperation is always in his mind and lead many companies join in the African markets actively.

“We keep simplifying the investment process”, said Mr. Jofre Van-Dunem Junior the Angola Minister of Trade, “within two days after arrival at Angola, investors can set up their company. Here everything is renewing with a wide cooperation fields, we welcome Chinese companies, private companies come for investment”. Mr. Joffre Van-Dúnem Júnior the Private Investment Officer said “Angola is opening arms widely to Chinese investors”. Currently it focuses on health, education, tourism, trade, fishing fields for foreign investment of amount 223 million USD. The Chinese companies are especially expected to cooperate on agriculture, animal feeding, forestry, tourism, clothing fields with Angola.

The amount has been up to 204.2 billion USD in year 2018 with 20 year-on-year growth of China-Africa trade. China continues being the No. 1 business partner of Africa in the last 10 years. To the end of 2018, there are 3700 companies has been set at Africa by China with amount of 46 billion USD direct investment for various fields. From Jan. to Apr. 2019, the direct investment to Africa from China is 1.22 billion with the growth more than 40%.

As the new platform to realize the China-Africa Cooperation Forum, new window for local companies cooperate with Africa, this expo is a feast of China-Africa economic and trade communication, as well as a big opportunity of China-Africa economic & trade cooperation. Mr. Chen said “There are wide mutual cooperation demand between Shandong Province and Africa in agriculture, industry and infrastructure fields. As the sole China-Africa cooperation oriented organization in Shandong Province, Qingdao China-Africa Business Council will further the work ideas and take the opportunity of this expo with self-advantage to find the correct entry point and support point, expand the cooperation fields, promote the advantage industries/companies/products of Shandong Province go to Africa, create the model council of Africa economic cooperation”.
